You are my Sunshine Ribbons-Part One

What a busy weekend!! With my parents in town, me walking the March for Babies on Saturday and DH racing in a triathlon on Sunday, there was a lot going on. Oh yeah and a teething almost 11 month old! Here are some ribbons I made up to go with all the Sunshine. I'm doing them in 2 parts because the file got too large. This set includes 6 straight ribbons (not shown), 6 "messy" ribbons, 6 bows, 6 knots, and 6 double knots.

Sunshine Pattern Buttons

How far can I go with these Sunshine Elements? How much is too much? Well, I'm having fun making them so I hope you all are enjoying them!

My parents made it to Florida safely. They are playing with Benjamin right now. Poor little Benjamin is sick though. He's sniffly and coughing. Hopefully it won't last too long.

Today I have some more buttons, but these are sunshine patterned.

More Sunshine

My son woke up at about 5 a.m. this morning. He went back to sleep, however, I was pretty much awake by then. So I had some extra time on my hands. Instead of cleaning my house a little (which is what I should have done) I went a little crazy making more suns. I received such great response from the 1st suns so here are some more!

Sunshine Patterned Papers

Well, we survived the busy weekend. We did really well at the garage sale. We used some of the money to buy a desk from my neighbor for Benjamin to use when he goes to school. Where its going to go in his room, I have no idea, but its in the garage for now. The visit with Benjamin's grandma went well. He was being a cranky butt though. Teething sucks!! His Mom Mom and Pop Pop (my parents) will be here Wednesday. Hopefully he'll get whatever tooth he's working on through by then and be in a better mood!

Benjamin's been a good little napper today so I made these Sunshine patterned papers.

Busy Weekend and Sunshine Buttons

We have a busy weekend coming up. We have a garage sale this morning. Let's hope we make lots of money! My mother-in-law is coming to visit today with her friend. So after the garage sale its time to clean, clean, clean! That means probably very little computer time. :( So before I go off into the crazy weekend, here are some bright and pretty buttons for you.

A Little Bit of Sunshine for You!

When I first started designing a little (not too long ago! LOL!) I thought it would be fun to try to incorporate some of my life into my designs. So, living in the Sunshine State, I started using little suns in some stuff. So here is a pack of 6 little suns for you to enjoy. I am working on some sunny papers, some other elements and some bright alphas so come back for those if you'd like!

I used my own elements in a layout!

OK, I'm a nerd, I'll admit that! I just am so proud that I made a cute little lo using some of my creation. The papers and frame are mine (http://www.4shared.com/file/44296711/2f1f2368/April_MSS_DAK.html). The alpha is Pink Lace Alpha from Kim Liddiard at Digital Scrapbook Place. The cute date elements are called Doodle Dates from the {Digi}licious blog (http://scarletheels.com/blog/). Thanks for looking!!

My Scrap Shop Design a Kit

I've designed my first mini kit! Its nothing too grand, but I'm proud. I really enjoyed learning more about Photoshop Elements and I know there is so much more to learn. I designed this for the My Scrap Shop (http://www.myscrapshop.com/) April Design a Kit challenge. The challenge is to design a kit using this color swatch:

The theme is wedding/new life, you know spring in general. So here's my offering:

If you are at all interested in downloading and playing with it you can find it here: http://www.4shared.com/file/44296711/2f1f2368/April_MSS_DAK.html

I want to give credit to Atomic Cupcake for their actions and Obsidian Dawn for their brushes.

Sunshine Studio Scraps Element Challenge

Yay, another fun challenge from Sunshine Studio Scraps (http://sunshinestudioscraps.com/blog/). This one was an element challenge. We are supposed to use 3 frames in a layout. I scrapped some wedding photos of our first dance. Over a year after our wedding I'm still scrapping photos from it. I guess I'm a little behind!! Here's my entry:

March for Babies

I am walking to honor Ezra and his family. Ezra was born 14 weeks early at 26 weeks. Through his strength, the love of his family and with the help of the March of Dimes, today Ezra is a happy, healthy 1 year old.

The March of Dimes has changed the name of its biggest event to March for Babies. It's a great change because it makes it very clear exactly who I am walking for -- all babies. I am very excited to be a part of the “first” March for Babies; please support my participation.
Although the name of this signature event changed, the mission did not. The March of Dimes champions the needs of moms and babies in our community and across the nation. The money we raise for March for Babies will support lifesaving research, services, education and advocacy that help babies get a healthy start.
Please help by donating today!

Sugarplum Paperie Challenge & Coffee Crisis Over!

My coffee drama mentioned earlier today has been fixed. I made it to Target today because the contractor guys only staged materials today. The real work is tomorrow. Check out my beautiful new coffee maker!

I know. I'm way too excited by a coffee maker!

Transformers-more than meets the eye!

According to Wikipedia a transformer is a device that transfers electrial energy from one circuit to another through inductively coupled electric conductors. Whatever! It really is an evil thing that blows up at 10:00 at night scaring the crap out of me, making me almost miss the results of Dancing with the Stars and killing my coffee maker!! Fortunately I have one of those Senseo coffee things, but this frothy European coffee isn't as good as a real cup of coffee. I can't go out to a) get a real cup of coffee or b) just go buy a new coffee maker because I'm waiting for a contractor who is 1 1/2 hours late to install our new pavers.

So this was my rant for the day! Hopefully it gets better!

Did I mention that Benjamin and I are both sick...

The wonderful designers of Sunshine Studio Scraps have posted another challenge. Its a color challenge. Check it out here: http://sunshinestudioscraps.com/blog/

10 months old!

My little man is 10 months old today! How time flys! It seems just like yesterday I was in the hospital undergoing the longest induction ever and finally meeting my little Benjamin. Mommy and Daddy love you so much!!
