How was your Black Friday?

I didn't actually go anywhere to shop. I don't need anything badly enough to wake up at 4:30 a.m. to get! I did do a little shopping around the digi world though and I got lots of cute stuff and I spent less than $15! Now to find the time to scrap with everything!

So I was apparently in my brown period this past week as far as scrapping goes. I just love browns and blues together and I got to work with some fabulous kits this week that let me play with this color combination.

These 1st 2 lo's I used Funky Fresh by Secret Garden Creations. You can get the embellishments here and the papers here.

This next lo I used a combination of kits from Steel City Scraps. I used Front Porch Lookin In, Front Porch Alpha, and Beautiful Disaster.

This last lo I also used a combinations of Steel City Scraps kits. I used Front Porch Lookin In, Front Porch Alpha, and Romantic Sunset.

Our Turkey Day went well. Shawn, Benjamin and I did the Turkey Trot in Clearwater. It was a lot of fun and SO crowded. Benjamin and I walked the 5K while Shawn ran the 10K. We had a rough time maneuvering the jogging stroller through the crowds, but I don't think I hurt anyone! Shawn had an awesome time in the 10K. He finished a lot quicker than he thought he would. Go Daddy!! We had dinner at our house with Leslie, Gavin and Shawn's mom. I cooked very non-traditionally. I made lasagna, meatballs, and sausage. The lasagna meat and sausage were turkey though!!

Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving.

This is the family before the walk. It was cold, but by the time we were at the finish line we had stripped down to t-shirts. I got warm fast!
My cutie!

Here is a photo of the crowd. That's pretty much a wall of people as far as the eye can see!

This photo just warms my heart!

Leslie took this photo of the salt and pepper shaker Pilgram family. Poor things only see the light of day once a year!

Let the Christmas freebies begin!

This is the time of year where digiscrap blogs everywhere begin to fill with lots and lots of Christmas freebies. And this one is no different! Today I have a paper pack inspired by fun, gaudy Christmas wrapping paper. You can pick up my paper pack freebie here.

I used Mega-Doodle Inspired's newest products to make these papers. These are 3 really cool pattern sets.

Set 2 and 3 are available now at ScrappinFreestyle and her many other shops. Keep a look out for set 4 in a grab bag near you soon! Also, check out the Mega-Doodle Inspired Blog.

More scrapbooking fun!

I haven't posted in a week! I got some fun new lo's done. There was a CT swap at Digital Candy and us Digi Twin girls got to work with some of Trish H. Designs' fabulous products. These first 2 lo's are from her Sweet Nothing kit. The font on both is Anmari.

These next 2 lo's are using Garden Critters by CandleWorks Scraps. The font on both is Jester.

This lo was done for the What's in a Number Challenge at Digital Candy. Its basically a recipe you have to follow to create a lo. This one was tough and, as you can see, I created a very busy lo! Probably my busiest! I love it though! The papers are from Geeks are Hot by Heather Roselli, Lauren Grier, and Scrapkitchen. Everything else is from Climbing Trees by Chaos Lounge. I also used the curled action and tear action from Atomic Cupcake. The fonts are Jellyka Evan & Estra and Jokerman

And finally, this is a lo of a photo of me and Shawn on one of our very few date nights. We went out to dinner and then out to see the Phantom of the Opera last weekend. It was a wonderful time! I used Romantic Sunset by Steel City Scraps. The font is Anmari. I am either addicted to that font or I'm too lazy to switch. Do you know how many 1000's of free fonts there out there? I really need to diversify!!

In other news from designers I CT for...Check out this ad from Brittney Ferguson!

More lo's and exciting CT news!! :)

First in Benjamin news, he has his 1st molar!! After many cranky days and nights his first molar has popped through. We got about 2 days of relief and now molar #2 is making for long nights again. Poor kid! I wish I could take this pain away from him.

Baby boy #2 is cooking nicely and I am 21 weeks along now! I feel him move more and more everyday. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. He'll be here before we know it!

I've been busy playing over at Digital Candy all weekend again. I fear I may be addicted to their challenges! This 1st lo was done for the Font Challenge. I had to use the font "Speedline" somewhere in the lo. This lo also comes with good news. I used the Beautiful Disaster Mini Freebie from Steel City Scraps. The good news is that I am now a City Girl! So expect to see more lo's using her fabulous designs. Check out her blog here, where there are some beautiful freebies available, and her shop at Digital Candy.

These next 2 lo's I used the Thankful Blessings Collab Kit by Team Sassy at Scrap It Sassy. This kit is huge!! The first lo is for the November desktop challenge. The calendar template is by Danielle Corbitt.

This next lo is for the elements challenge where we had to use a stroke on the photos and photo corners.

And lastly, this lo is for the Ad challenge where our lo is inspired by a print ad. I used Creepy Crawlie by April the Scrapaholic.

I rocked Digital Candy's DSD Scrapathon!

Photobucket

For DSD, Digital Candy held a scrapathon. 8 lo's in 3 days with different instructions for all of them. Here are my lo's for the scrapathon.

LO #1 is "Black, White, and Sparkly" which meant 2 B&W photos with some sort of glitter or foil element. I used Diamond Diva Alpha, A Little of This, A Little Border, and Back to Basics Paper Pack, all by The Digi Twins and available at Digital Candy.

LO #2 was a scraplift. I scraplifed Steel City Scraps Smile. I used Daddy's Closet by Designs by Jannylynn Brokken.

LO #3 was to use any photo shape other than a square. I used the K-Joi Welcome Kit from by God's design available at K-Joi and The Write Stuff by Darcy Baldwin and Misty Cato. The font is How Cute Am I by Darcy Baldwin.

LO #4 was to use a one word title and some sort of crumpled/wrinkled element. I used A Mother's Love Sunshine Studio Scraps Collab and Crump'd freebie from Designs by Kristi.

LO #5 was another scraplift. I scraplifted Christie Lemmon Designs Yum. I used Coley by Kari Hentzelt Designs, Ariane by Lauraskathi, and The Write Stuff by Darcy Baldwin and Misty Cato. The font is How Cute Am I by Darcy Baldwin.

LO #6 was a lo based on a song. I choose Ordinary Miracle by Sarah McLachlin. I used Ye Olde Bookshop by Mari Koeglenberg. The font is DSP Pat.

LO #7 was to scrap an imperfect picture that you wouldn't normally scrap. This photo was one of Benjamin trying to get the camera while I was taking pictures. I have a lot of these, LOL! I used Monster Madness by Designs by Nikki Scott.

And finally, LO #8 was a template by Christie Lemmon Designs. I used Twitchery Stitchery Page Kit and Alpha by The Digi Twins, both available at Digital Candy, and the font is How Cute Am I by Darcy Baldwin.

These next 2 lo's were not part of the scrapathon. I used Little Prince by Body Works Studio available at Scrap It Sassy.

Phew! That's it for now!!! Thanks for stopping by!
